I bet it was a Belgium Malinois.  Those things are escape artist.  I know one that used to escape from his kennel by chewing through the metal padlocks.  He actually lost a bunch of teeth because of his habit, so the vet had to replace them with titanium teeth, which only made the problem worse.

Yup, looks like a Malinois.  The perfect combination of smart, strong, agile and fearless.

When we were fostering a Malmutt puppy I watched a lot of their videos.  If a Malinois wants out, it's getting out.
