If any concert is worth the money, it's probably hers.

My wife had me take her to a Pink concert for her Valentines Day gift at the Meadowlands some years ago. I have to say that was an awesome show watching Pink quite literally bounce around on and above the stage. The work that had to go into it was crazy.

Brandi Carlile? I wonder how many people are going to he upset she doesn't sing any Go-Go's songs

I had no idea Pink was that big of a draw to fill a 30,000+ seat baseball park.

Must be Pat Benatar bringing them in :)

She's coming to PNC Park in Pittsburgh but no Pat Benatar.
It's Brandi Carlile, Grouplove & DJ Kid Cut Up. (whoever they are)

Anyone care to offer first-hand opinions on stadium concerts? Tool have stated they'll never do them because they feel most fans won't have a good enough experience.

The 1/2- and 1/3-capacity arena shows I went to were fantastic; the full-arena ones have been a mixed bag. Amphitheater shows have all been good, but so far I've always splurged for good/decent seats (no further back than 2nd tier).

Just saw Rammstein at MetLife Stadium in September. It was definitely a spectacle but you're still looking at tiny little people 1/4 mile away. And with Rammstein, you don't even get giant screens flanking the stage. There's also the issue of sound delay in a place that big.

Arena's are generally awful sound-wise. I've found that simple ear plugs do wonders for reducing the bouncy echo that happens in a square concrete box. Maiden at the Rock in newark was amazing. Going to see anthrax/exodus/BLS at the end of January in Montclair at the Wellmont. Gimme a theater any day.

U2 on the Joshua Tree Tour at Tampa Stadium was one of the best concerts I have ever attended.
U2 on the ZooTV tour at RFK Stadium was one of the worst concerts I have ever attended.

Stadiums are hit or miss, just like any other venue

70 years old and her voice is as powerful and clean as ever. I guess it's true. If you want to be a rock singer first learn how to sing opera. It teaches how to use power without damaging your voice.

Ha!  That was one of the best concerts I have ever attended.  I wasn't paying as much attention to sound quality, but (probably due to those roof overhang things) the crowd response was just fantastic.

I, for one, can be counted in.

Can confirm. Saw U2 at Sun Devil Stadium when they shot the concert scenes for Rattle and Hum at the tail end of the Joshua Tree tour and it was fantastic, BB King opened and they covered "Christmas Baby (Please Come Home)" that came out on the first A Very Special Christmas.

Saw them at the same place for ZooTV and it was terrible (Public Enemy opened.)
