Raiders are literally the sh*ttiest team in football this year and I'd pick a high school team against them any day of the week.

I'd say losing to said team is more disgraceful.  Particularly when it involves letting a 37 year old, historically non-mobile quarterback, pull off a 39 yard run.

/ oh, and the guy calling the offensive plays for the Colts had zero experience calling plays before
// think he was an assistant QB coach or something

All their losses but one were one score games.

I get being upset that minority candidates were overlooked and that Saturday didn't go through the process of starting out as an assistant before becoming a head coach, but it isn't like they pulled some guy off the street.  He was a leader & high-level player on a great team for many years; it isn't like he doesn't know anything about the game or coaching.

Bill Belichick's coaching tree looks like Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree.

They were once "Pro Football's Winningest Team." Enter a senseless feud with their running back and an inability to change with the times, the Raiders now make the Lions look functional by comparison.

The Raiders could have kept their interim head coach who led them to the playoffs after they fired their disgraced head coach.

Instead, they signed Josh McDaniels.

Anytime Josh McDaniels loses and is humiliated, an angel gets its wings.

If they kept Bisaccia then there's no quality GM coming that would want to be saddled with the team's guy. The whole administration had to go and by the off season there won't be much left of it unless they bring back Jacobs on a team friendly deal.

That said they should totally dig a hole in the desert and take McDaniels out there as a warning.

Anyone with a brain could've seen the Raiders sucking once they hired McDaniels. He was garbage in Denver, he would've been garbage in Indy if he hadn't turned on them (if you thought Frank Reich was bad, it could've been worse), and he's been hot garbage in Vegas.

They hired the GM one day and hired McDaniels the next day, which suggests the GM wasn't very involved in the process.

I do see what you mean, but if you wind up with McDaniels, someone made a big mistake.

Have you seen Mark's haircut? Kidding aside, I think they wanted Harbaugh but he said no the McDaniels was the second name on the list. Personally not a fan of either but this year wasn't going to be pleasant either way with the arms race within the division and a stronger schedule. I didn't think I was going to be looking forward to a pick in the 6-8 range with the way things are going but the way Gruden and Mayock crapped the bed drafting something had to give.

I guess if you aren't gonna win, you might as well really lose. It's an awfully tough division, to be sure.

Or as Bill would put it, "I'm going to go down the street to Foxborough High School and find someone to take the snap."

If a team is consistently losing close games that's a sure sign of a coaching problem.
