are these the end times?

Not bad for a guy who was unemployed at the start of the season. There's a few cars out of order for the start, with only a few laps to do something. Should be fun.

Will there be clownshoes at T1?

I decided to turn on qualifying yesterday just in time for Q3. That was crazy and full credit to Haas for getting KMag out there in front of everyone else, taking advantage of their pit lane position to do so.

question_dj: Will there be clownshoes at T1?

No.  It is a sprint race so even though people will want to improve, it is not at the expense of ruining a race car.  Furthermore, we are at the end of the season and who knows where teams are in the cost cap so doing a lot of damage for a qualifying race, could really have lasting consequences so teams will likely play it safe given so much has already been settled.

Meanwhile, here is this week's reason why I hope the Las Vegas GP is an unmitigated disaster for everyone involved:

Yes, they are planning to block the Bellagio fountains with a oversized grandstand with suites. Apparently, it will only be available to people who buy a hotel stay package at the Bellagio and other hotels owned by MGM Resorts (which is the whole west side of the Strip from the Bellagio south, plus the MGM Grand)

They should have got slapped harder, but the loss of wind tunnel time is not nothing.

Weather looks ok for the sprint

After the limp-wristed punishment Red Bull got, I think some teams won't care too much about going over the cost cap by a million or so.

I'm convinced he can't meet his full potential with Ferrari because of their terrible strategy calls

As long as Biknownothing is team principal, Ferrari will continue to Ferrari themselves in the foot.

Why would you want to show any action when we can focus on the gap with the leaders

if I'm Vettel, since I'm retiring, I might just teach young Mr. Stroll a lesson

George complaining about Max exceeding track limits.

Because if there's one thing the FIA loves to do, it's enforcing the rules -- especially when a Red Bull driver is the one breaking the rules.

Red Bull? Exceeding track limits?? UNPOSSIBLE!!! Let's punish the complainer with a 5-second penalty for exceeding track limits!!!!

2022-11-12 2:52:03 PM
There you go George

2022-11-12 2:53:15 PM
Nice, now lets see if Verstappen can come back

2022-11-12 2:53:40 PM
Not sure what happened to Alex, but a track marshal put a block on the tire to stop rolling -- even if his car is back to 100%, the external help means he's done for the day.

Also George in P1 now
