So...you hire private investigators to get dirt on fellow owners, costing them money while burning alliances, poison the work environment for female employees, raise prices for fans, waited too long to address pertinent issues, paid the wrong free agents over and over again, haven't won d^*% , and want to sell now.

You're doing a hell of a job, Danny.  Call Elon.

Paid $800 million for the franchise and let's see, Broncos recently sold for $4.65 billion. Not a bad job.

They were worth for than any other franchise in pro sports when he took over. Now not even top 30. So yes failure.

Sports franchises are similar to my baseball card collection: they're only worth what someone is willing to pay. I cited the figures that were paid.

Touché.

Buy low, sell high.  He just pissed off the owners, fans, etc.

Didn't the Walmart folks purchase the Broncos?

That thread was a rumour. This is them announcing it.

As to the value, there is no way a major pro sports team could lose value right now. there are 123 major pro-sports teams in North America that could potentially be bought and they are highly desirable play toys for the mega-rich even without considering the potential to make money. For NFL teams, there is abotu one sold every two years

Billionaires buying sports teams has far more in common with buying rare pieces of art than buying businesses.

And with the continuing massive increases in wealth of the uber-rich, their value will continue to go up.
