I haven't even seen any polling out of Texas that I recall.  The media is fixated on Pennsylvania and Georgia

It's Texas so those ads will be very effective at convincing the legislature that children as young as 12  should be allowed to adopt.

Of course being Texas, any minor who is a parent will also be allowed to carry a gun. If you can handle a baby, you can handle a Glock.

Trump only won TX by 5% in 2020. It's not nearly the red state people make it out to be.  The TX GOP is just really really good at gerrymandering and disenfranchising.

I'd like to adopt Juliet Donenfeld (the 12&1/2 hear old)
I looked her up.. She does a bunch of TV, movie, and voice work.
I couldn't find any good clips of her work (as good as this one)

The ad was made by Lara Everly for Fellow Americans. and i guess picked up by MAGA.

Not more than 20 years ago a 13-year-old could marry with parental permission.  There was a case where a Nebraska guy and a 13-year-old, with mom's blessing, wanted to go to Kansas to get married.  This wasn't that long ago.  I kind of remember that they did get married, but I'm not sure about that.

I imagine that law was a legacy of frontier times when a knocked up 13-year-old wasn't such a big deal and they needed a method of restoring a girl's honor when bundling got out of hand.

NPR said Abbott is up 13 points in latest poll.

I voted today. The new system in Texas takes so much longer than before. They've added extra steps that also means extra instructions. I now have to load pages into the printer, print, then scan my ballot vs it being saved and downloaded from the machine after hours.

On a rainy Tuesday afternoon at 3pm, it took 30 minutes to vote at a polling location with 20-30 machines. Next Tuesday is going to have crazy lines in metro areas.
