Worth the watch for the couple chuckles.

I tried the last one and it was just OK. Much the same overly cinematic brawler as the earlier ones, just bigger and more realistic

Fark is awfully ad-heavy today.  Even the "articles".

Yeah, but Christopher Judge did a freaking amazing job on the last one, and I don't know that he typically does voicework.  Sometimes that sort of casting works out.  On the whole, I still prefer to see dedicated VAs getting work, but I'm not about to begrudge a good performance.

Travolta actually put in more effort here than when he was in that Thomas Jane Punisher movie.

Loved Jeremy Davies as Baldur, too.

Mafia III to me was a good mix of actors and VAs who act (if that's a distinction?). Too bad the gameplay was a slog.

It's better with the DLC to alternate between stuff for more variety. The ai is still batshiat stupid but the plot was pretty good.

They really do help yeah. Especially the cult one once you get the throwing knives, those things are a stealth dream. I feel like I'm one of about six people who actually liked the game.

Nah, I loved Mafia 3. It had been a while since I played a game that made me that uncomfortable. It was unapologetic about the time period, which was both awesome and terrifying.

By the time you start doing real Mafia shiat, you really are ready to kill a lot of white people.

Well that's three out of six of us at least.

Would've been better with more time in the oven but some of the better writing and one of the best soundtracks you can get in an open world game.

Agreed, I've heard they wanted to vary up the rackets (like just stealing cars for the auto theft ring, etc) which would have been fun. They're doing Part IV now in 1898 Sicily which should be interesting to check out when they get there.

It definitely needed more work, but it did make much better use of the open world than its predecessors did.  Mafia 2 had nothing to do outside of missions other than grab collectibles (which, admittedly, vintage Playboys were the best collectable ever, but there wasn't even any in-game benefit).  The more freeform nature in 3 made for a weaker story, the core plot kind of fell by the wayside once you started taking over rackets, but when the plot was running it was mostly solid.

I just finished Far Cry 6. Are there any must gets for the PS5?  Already beat Miles Morales on PS4. Also already played GoW on PS4.

Oh yeah, I started that and went back to replay Miles. I'll get back on it.

Oh, it's not just a remake of the Viking one? That's what I get for assuming.

I don't know if you played them on PS4, but if not, Judgment and Lost Judgment were both fantastic.  Lost Judgment in particular might be one of my favorite titles in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon franchise.
