I think that should be "watch *out* Elon..." but whatever.

"Good Luck, Have Fun" as the name of the first flight is kinda fun, and not dissimilar to my parting line to the kid heading out the door to school every morning.. "Have fun, learn stuff" which I guess I should also offer up to these guys. Because, like DR said, competition is good. And there is often a some more learning than success getting going in this business.

thx modmin that didn't smoke my post for the fix. I still missed one in my own post, editing w/o proofreading, but you can't fix that w/o smoking the post, and I'm okay with the extra a.

Drunken Rampage: Good. Competition is good.

Agreed. This rocket is proof of concept, just like the Falcon 1. And I expect, like Falcon 1, there will be a failure or three before it makes it to orbit.  The question here is a 3D-printed rocket strong enough to make it through MaxQ? It should be, but one never knows.

The follow-on will be a direct competitor to Falcon 9. Even though SpaceX expects Starship to have a far lower cost per kg to LEO, there will still be a market in the 20-ton class.
