Guy was promised a great OL and a running game. He got neither.

Plus, he left Atlanta *only* because his previous employer of 15 years tried to hire a guy with X counts of sexual harassment in his *immediate* future.

Matt Ryan is the best Falcon to play the game, and in the top 5 QB's of the past 15 years. He got boned in this deal (see: Joe Montana)

I agree about Ryan's talent...but, OTOH, if he continues to be paid his full salary, the joke is on the team/coach/owner, not him. Getting paid to sit on the bench and watch the team suck ass is not a bad way to get paid, IMO.

Indianapolis sports are really bad when it comes to admitting defeat and rebuild.  The pacers have been competitive for about 35 years and never got through.

colts got that one super bowl, so theres that.   But the last few years they have been doing the same thing, even when they had another possible generational talent, before this rotating cast of has-beens.

Just admit that you need to start a guy who's 22 years old and going to stink for 1-2 years before potentially being great.   It's the only way to possible sustained success.

This all true, but if he just waited another 10 seconds or so to snap the ball a few times, he'd have a ring.

Hey, maybe the Colts should get themselves a franchise QB instead of annually cycling through has-beens.

I regret I have but one smart to give. Ryan WAS the franchise, and what they did to him was beyond horrendous, imo. I was happy when he demanded and got traded. I'm sad that he's out for maybe for good. I've been a lifelong, die hard fan of my home team, but now, I don't care about them.

Colts released Peyton Manning, and got Andrew Luck thanks to St. Curtis Painter and a losing record... but in the last couple of years we have seen a conga line of qbs that hasn't happened since the Colts of the 80s. Now Matt Ryan has a separated shoulder that will keep him out a few weeks regardless, and Frank Reich realizes he is toast baring a crazy run. So why not take a chance with Sam Ehlinger looked good in the preseason games he played.

Reich might have been in the room when the decision to change quarterbacks was made, but he did not make the decision. That decision was made by Irsay and the gm, mostly Irsay.
