You not only lost, your bunch of Yankees were swept.  That's a good thing.

All these Yankees threads, and not one today for the Phillies or even the suck-ass Astros -- who are the teams that, you know... won.

Maybe it's because their fans, and the national media, kept harping on about how the Yankees were maybe the best team that's ever been, and how Aaron Judge is the 2nd coming of Babe Ruth.

And now they've been exposed by an actual good team (They barely even made it past Cleveland, for heaven's sake), so there is naturally a lot of schadenfreude to go around.

You forgot Awful.

/if you're trying to reference a children's book from the 70s, it's "terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day"

... and then I actually R'dTFA and assume the "awful" repetition was intentional.

Don't make me do that again.

Anyone who was actually paying attention this year wasn't surprised. NY was 41-42 after July 2nd.

Judge did have one of the all time great individual seasons, though.

I'm a Rays fan and I was happy to see him break the hr record. And I was in the stands at Tropicana for one of them, so csb

But the Yankees will have even bigger expectations next year and there's no way they can live up to them

By my count, there are 2 teams that can rightfully dunk on the Yankees this year and 26 that can't.

/Padres are a push.

He left out the worst part. They made him walk home, alone, from the Bronx.

That old adage rings true once again, "The playoffs are always better when the Yankees have been humiliated".

Charles of York: I remember so many Wankee fans saying before the Allstar game that this years team is better than the '27 Yankees

but that was only after the 7-6 start when they all declared the season over and wanted to fire everyone after 2 weeks
