Apparently we had a mission to Mars in 2016? Although, if it ran a year would it have only been a fly-by?

Nadia Drake (daughter of Frank Drake) being there is a bit weird. She's done her own work, that doesn't have a lot to do with SETI, so it seems like a bit of marketing.

Very Good, Subby!

Kudos for using Jack Webb's opening narration from his TV series "Project UFO" for your headline.

(The show was inspired by the real-life 'Project Blue Book'.)

There's lots of easily identifiable UFOs on the internet. A recent one was a pair of bright lights off in the distance, dancing around, up and down. I recognized in in a second as a stunt plane doing a performance over an airfield over there. Then we have FLIR locks on geese, which is quite the feat.

The "tic-tac" objects are most likely errors in observation systems. If they only exist in the dark, they might be aberrations in your systems.

You know, sometimes people just go missing.

While some instances are nefarious, other instances are people just wanting to disappear.

None of these instances are of extraterrestrial nature.

NathanAllen: The good news is that nutjob republicans are now talking more about UFOs than overthrowing the government.

This is completely incorrect.  This is a bi-partisan issue with support on both sides of the aisle, an area where Congress is actually unified.  Much of the UFO legislation passed in the last year has been pushed by Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Marco Rubio (R-FL).  In fact, the NDAA 2022 amendment containing the UFO legislation is known as the Gillibrand Amendment.

This is a real phenomenon that is gaining steam in Congress and elsewhere (Harvard's Galileo Project, for example).  I encourage everyone to research the topic for yourself with a fresh slate and come to your own conclusions.  It doesn't take long to realize the only reason we (myself included) thought that UFOs were nonsense, is because we were told they were nonsense by those in power.  That is all changing before our eyes, its an amazing time to be alive.

15Now as I looked at the living beings, behold, there was one wheel on the ground beside the living beings, for [k]each of the four of them. 16The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like [l]sparkling topaz, and all four of them had the same form, their appearance and workmanship being as if [m]one wheel were within another. 17Whenever they [n]moved, they [o]moved in any of their four [p]directions without turning as they [q]moved. 18As for their rims, they were high and awesome, and the rims of all four of them were [r]covered with eyes all around. 19Whenever the living beings [s]moved, the wheels [t]moved with them. And whenever the living beings rose from the earth, the wheels rose also. 20

The Martians have been steadily moving westward.

The first exploratory landing was in England.  The second was in New Jersey.  The third established a beachhead in California.

I predict the next incursion will be in Hawaii.  Hopefully, this time they will just be here to chill and have a nice vacation.
