Pretty crazy. I remember a book intro in the 70s, I think Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, that explained to young American readers what a "pound" was. And that one of them was worth about $2.

Duh. Yes, Truss resigned. No, she wasn't replaced with a stable leader and useful, actionable economic policy. Instead, it's BoJo and bullshiat as Hunt goes dark and everyone's left going, "...do the Tories know WTF they're doing?"
