I first saw that movie when I was 8 or 9 when it came on cable and dad wanted to record it. I, obviously, have seen it many times since, but it wasn't until I was pushing twenty that I finally got that joke.

Giuliani was corrupt from the beginning.  He made his name getting rid of he Italian mob with help from the Russian mob.  So that made him indebted to the Kremlin and from that time forward he was their useful idiot.  In a parallel story, at about the same time Donnie J. was getting in deep with Russia laundering money, so he was indebted to the Kremlin both figuratively and financially, and was their useful idiot.  That's why Rudy and Donnie got together -  they have to because Vlad wants it and each one can destroy the other.

Did you know that Vladdy, when he was in the KGB, made his bones collecting blackmail material to use against western leaders and captains of industry and finance?  You know, the people who run The West?  He was pretty good at it, I hear.

Also, about 6 or 7 years ago, a bunch of GOP legislators took a spur-of-the moment trip for no stated purpose to Moscow over the 4th of July weekend.  I'm sure Vladdy's blackmail hobby and the GOP Independence Day vacation to the Kremlin are unrelated.

Those are the best jokes. You hear them for years from the adults, know they're funny, but not why. My adoptiveom would call me and I'd say "I'm coming", to which she would invariably reply with "You're not even breathing hard!". Took me forever on that one.

I don't think he really believes or cares at all.

His speciality and his knowledge in the military was finding subversive/opposition groups and using information/misinformation to get them on "our" side and willing to take action to create a resistance.  His job at the DIA was literally writing the SOPs for doing what he's doing right now with the Evangelical movement.  He is actively doing what he was paid to do for our military against enemies here on home soil.

And the reason he got to the position he did at the DIA and our goverent was because he was damn good at his job.

So there's a good chance he doesn't believe in a single thing he is on stage saying.  More than likely he is utilizing his training and expertise to subvert government power and seize power.

Evangelicals just so happened to be the most primed and easiest to activate for his purpose than any other group.

Flynn was on board with Trump before he became the evangelical messiah he eventually became.  He probably saw their usefulness when they ignored everything he said and did but stoll considered him the best thing to happen for the evangelicals.

Which makes his whole shtick scarier than it already is.  He is utilizing tried and true methods the US government has used to overthrow unfriendly governments for decades against the very government and country that gave him this training and expertise.

When the fark are we going to strip Flynn's brother of his command of the Pacific army?

I know the brother in the article isn't the same as the one that is a general and in charge of the entire pacific army, but you don't have multiple brothers actively plotting sedition and not be compromised.

The fact that he was a decision maker on J6 who refused to send National guard and covered that fact up should at least be enough to sideline him and do an investigation to find out if he has been corrupted or not.

Why would he?  Flynn 9ffered him ultimate power, a cult like following, and adulation.

Flynn offered Trump everything he ever wanted.  There's a reason Trump is a fanboi of all the "strongman" leaders.  It's what he wants to be.  He thinks he deserves unfettered power and control.

Flynn said he would do give him that and is actively still working towards those ends.

He wasn't always as crazy and/or corrupt.  He didn't like the way Obama was winding down our wars and thought we should be escalating and he got fired and went on this path after that.

Why has there not been a wholesale rendition to Gitmo performed on all those involved in the insurrection, especially with public office-holders, veterans and police who were involved?

This was clearly a "Go directly to Jail; Do not pass "GO," do not collect $200" situation if there ever has been one.
