My dad is a very sedate white dude from Ohio, and even HE has started yelling at cops.  It's getting bad out there folks.

Since he was apparently non-violent this seems just about right. I love that it comes from a Trump-appointed judge and the felony means this murder-tool-enthusiast won't be allowed to own guns will end up doing more time on a gun charge down the road.

Instead of spending the next couple of years banging chicks (or dudes) on a campus chock full of amazing looking and fairly smart people, he'll be caged with fellow losers.

And at 24 has a felony record, enjoy working in restaurant kitchens for lousy pay the rest of your miserable life,

Nah, he'll get do-nothing jobs with various RWNJ "foundations" and possibly go on the crackpot speaking engagement gravy train.

Or Daddy will get him a paycheck.

Wow I assumed that headline was joking, but. . .

She [da Judge] also said that Secor's specific presence . . . in Vice President Mike Pence's chair on the Senate Floor, were concerning given his prior comments about civil war.
That context, Paschall said, "makes him more culpable in the eyes of the government than someone who walked in, saw the rotunda, and left."

The judge rejected the light sentencing recommendation from the probation office due to it!

Ass-stank FTW! Never leave a bad smell, people don't forget that.

"This late development of the prefrontal cortex can explain in part, but not excuse, why Christian may have made the choices he did on January 6," his attorney wrote. "His lack of maturity, along with his lack of judgment, led him to where he is today."

If you are running a pro-Fuentes Fascist group at 22, your prefrontal cortex is probably maxed out already, it's all downhill from there on.

Maybe short term, but I think 5 years after Donnie croaks it'll be like being a huge Iraq war supporter by 2010 or a Nixon supporter by 1980. 15 minutes over

I really appreciate jurists seeing straight through all the last-minute contrition once the guilty know the jig is up. I somehow managed not to attack my own country in my early 20's despite my incompletely-formed frontal lobe and am perfectly good with holding him to that standard.

This little douche thought it was the glorious beginning of his civil war on the rest of us, and was more than happy & ready to start killing fellow Americans. 3.5 years and a felony record are entirely appropriate.

DiA you are wrong. The person is a solid conservative following conservative ideology. That you fail to see the end game of conservative ideology is a problem for America. It ends in a fascist authoritarian state with a state religion that allows them to commit evil in the name of their god. Congratulations you played yourself in your willful ignorance.

adjective: conservative
1. averse to change or innovation and holding traditional values.

2. (in a political context) favoring free enterprise, private ownership, and socially traditional ideas.

3. (of an estimate) purposely low for the sake of caution.

4.(of surgery or medical treatment) intended to control rather than eliminate a condition, with existing tissue preserved as far as possible.

You equate conservatism with fascism in the same way that fascists equate liberalism with communism. Does that make you willfully ignorant or just lazy? I'll let you decide.

You ignore republicans and their version of conservatism. Trying to cover your inept attempts to scapegoat what republicans do is both sad and scary. You can MAGA by leaving the US and never opening your mouth to speak again. It will make you look smarter and help ensure you do not spread more stupid.

Idiots that turn a blind eye to the actions of republicans then scream when it is called out are irksome. The willingness to support evil in the name of conservatism has put America in a downward spiral with American enemies watching in glee. It is frightening to know that ISIS, Russia, China, North Korea etc. have an easy way to attack America by supporting republicans.
