You know if they made a movie like this, the hero would need to be some unassuming guy
who doesn't look like he'd hurt anyone or even use a foul word...Someone like Tom Hanks..

The snakes are nonvenomous, and they are indeed often found in gardens, where they help keep control of pests

Especially if the pests are monkeys. These are monkeyfighting snakes.

Pretty sure that bottom pic was taken on a train.  I don't know many planes that have curtains these days.  Or windows as big as the one behind the men.

I would have told the crew, "I got this" and held the snake until we got to the destination.  Grab it by the tail, put your index finger under the throat and your thumb on the back of the head, easy peasy.  My wife wouldn't mind sitting next to it.
