Kind of but not really.
TFA says the coke cut with fentanyl is typically done so intentionally and sold as such.  Cocaine with traces of fentanyl is likely just cross-contamination from the dealers cutting surface.

The idea that a dealer would take on the risk and expense to get fentanyl to cut his cocaine but still charge the same amount doesn't make any sense.

the highest-purity cocaine is called "La Lavada" because it's been "washed" of impurities. The latest innovation, he said, is adding artificial flavors so that the drip tastes like grape, cherry, peach, or other fruits.

Haven't done it in 30 years but I want to try this

The harm reduction person recommending the microdosing of crack because cooking it burns off the fentanyl is insane.  Yes, cooking it will get rid of the fentanyl, but crack is an ENTIRELY different high that makes sniffing coke feel like a waste.  There is zero upside to crack.  That shiat is the devil.

Bill Cosby had a bit about cocaine that went something like a friend told him he did blow because it enhanced his personality so he asked him "Well, what if you're an asshole?"

In the late 90s I moved to certain Colorado college town that is generally described as about 25 square miles surrounded by reality.  I had just turned 30 and although coke was never a part of my life I was stunned by how pervasive it was among the hip set in the downtown area.  I moved there from the Bay Area where nobody I knew was into it.  Nobody.

I still loathe that town but sometimes have to go there because I have family there who will not leave the place for any reason.

My wife's cousin died from a mix of alcohol, coke, and fentanyl. Mixing the first two is bad, but it was the third that did him in.

His mom found him dead in his bed, her only kid, after a night out with friends.

Not even once.

That was my experience as well. I guess it did make me more talkative... but alcohol does that for me as well, and a beer or glass of wine is a much more enjoyable experience than snorting something up my nose

I've had people tell me it makes them feel invincible.

I've never tried it because stimulants stronger than coffee make me jittery and more anxious than I already am.

That's interesting. I've never really heard of coke as something to relax you. Most people I know with anxiety enjoy weed to relax them (whereas it makes me anxious and paranoid), but coke is a stimulant, so I wouldn't expect it to relax you. Maybe you've got ADHD?

I never really got into buying cocaine other than a handful of wayback times; was much easier getting a few bathroom bumps that didn't leave you trying to sleep when you hear the birds waking up. Granted, I couldn't tell you exactly the last time I did coke, years ago, but it was always fun for me.

Yup.  My brother inlaw enjoyed a little once in a while several times a day.  He robbed his family, lost his home and truck then wrote bad checks to himself to get the portion that clears immediately.
20 years this had been going on... 20 long years of jail, rehab, jail, rehab, family fights, rehab.
Ummmm no thanks I'll just skip the coke.  I have learned to enjoy life with only a little alcohol a few times a year.
