Now that he's suddenly been declared US Ambassador to every Fuc£ing thing, he should totally run for President.

The way things are going these days, he'd just be coronated without an election.

He was luck to bet on PayPal and now every move of him is described as master strategery. And still he is an ungracious, petty asshole. At least he's paying Starlink for Ukraine out of his own pocket now. Asshole for even asking someone else to footing the bill.

Yes, China should be trusted with another Hong Kong arrangement, because China BROKE its political promises regarding Hong Kong so thoroughly and unashamedly.

Nope, too late China. You have only shown you can't keep promises. You and Elon can fark right off.

We don't need no stinking "eligibility". All he has to do is declare allegiance to the GOP, I.e.,Trump and Putin, and he's in.

I still maintain that Elon Musk fans are the kinds of people that sided with Mr. House in Fallout: New Vegas because he offhandedly mentioned colonizing other planets, once, and then ignored all the genocides he committed.

Only Mr. House can actually build a decent robot, lol

Ok, maybe saying his ideas come from novels is a bit generous. Maybe movies that showed up on TV while he was too busy shiatposting on Twitter to change the channel would be more his speed.

Starlink is being funded by the United States, United Kingdom and Poland. Musk only provided 3,000 out of the 20k+ in Ukraine, and has been slow to provide other mobile units ordered by Ukraine with western loans.

Musk is making tons of money off the war through subsidies and low-interest aid loans he's just has a self-important jackass who is upset that he got called out for his shiatty "peace deal".

I really do wonder how much longer it can go on 'cause like, most of Elon Musk's grift was his self-invented image of being the real-life Iron Man that he himself submitted into the public consciousness. And on top of years,

of making an ass out of himself with half-baked garbage, he's finally ruined his public image with the most public mid-life crisis we've ever witnessed to even the point where my dad thinks Elon is a moron... And my dad is a Trump supporter, so that's saying a lot!

That's probably true, but only because it would be f*cking impossible to be worse at foreign policy. Also, luckily for him, I'm reasonably confident that actual engineers design his rockets.

This is the American way of wealth. Henry Ford had his say about "the Jews" and Hitler, and JFKennedy's dad did too. And a couple of decades before that, it was WR Hearst starting trouble with Spain.

They were agents for an ascendant American empire. Who are the agents for an ascendant Chinese and a declining Russian empire? Well, anyone who will take the money, really. The Turks have their Oz. We know McConnell is in bed with the Chinese... every night. There is the whole "Fourth of July" crew who kowtowed to Moscow. Washington is rotten with foreign influences. We can't even count the ones who are more or less agreeable in terms of language, skin tone, religion, etc. Elon gets under the radar because he is a white South African. What if he were from India or China? Would Americans be so warmed up to him?

And let's be real. Elon Musk will never be able to the POTUS. But oh boy does he have children, and oh boy were they naturally born US citizens.

Just be grateful he isn't as into family as Joe Kennedy and Prescott Bush.  His kids aren't going to be groomed for candidacy and aren't going to run on his coattails, or even admit he's their father.  We're in much greater danger of the Trump kids.

There isn't much that can sink Spacex (it is a privately owned company), and Gwynne Shotwell is there to make sure it doesn't happen.  On the other hand, Tesla is very public and very overvalued.  See also twitter, which sooner or later Musk is expected to be forced to buy at an even more overvalued stake.  Once the serious Muscovites realize that Tesla isn't worth half a trillion dollars (nor a Musk-lead twitter for whatever outrageous price he pays for it), the bankruptcy courts may wind up handing his stake in Spacex to his creditors.

Most likely scenario for a Elon bankruptcy: he is forced to buy Twitter, makes it a full-on "Nazi speech zone" followed by stock price tanking.  Twitter drags Tesla down with it, and Elon can't make his margin calls.  If he's smart, he'll pay Twitter $10 Billion to go away, but Elon loves to bet big.

I thought I saved the "I'll buy a volcano lair" tweet.  Think it was 2006.  It was when Elon told the world what he was (or at least thought he was/planned to be).
