Oh good, Roid Deputy is out. Or HGH Deputy, or whatever.

It wasn't the choking that got him, it's that he drew enough attention to himself for the press to find out this:

The Falls Church house (Virginia, not DC - Lsherm addition for context) is, in fact, where Geldart and his wife and their children live. However, Geldart also rents a 12th-floor apartment in a building in Southeast D.C., where he's registered to vote and pays income taxes.

Now this is DC, so the operative line in this entire story is really this one:

Like most high-ranking D.C. government officials, he's required to live in the District

This is also DC and Mayor Bowser, so I suspect Bowser fired him in the hopes that no one is going to dig too much into anyone else's "living arrangements" on the City Council or the Mayor's staff.

Sadly, where DC is concerned, the local press always seem to fall down on this front. Even the farking Washington Post seems to fall down on local news. This guy has had that home in Falls Church for YEARS. Everyone just noticed now? Like right now? Not when he got the job?

So weird that the people we entrust for our safety keep turning out to be some of the most bigoted and violent among us.

So weird.

Geldart is a longtime District government employee, holding cabinet-level positions under two mayors. Like most high-ranking D.C. government officials, he's required to live in the District, but when he was charged with assault after an argument in a parking in Arlington Oct. 1, police listed his address as a home in Falls Church, Virginia.

An arrangement also known as "the Eric Adams".
