Serious Post on Serious Thread: SafetyThird: Naido: had created "consumer confusion" by allowing workers to use the name "Medieval Times Performers United."

Change it to Medieval On a Motherfarker's Ass!  You want a piece of MOMA??

I like smelling fresh horse shiat in front of my table and also being served shiat food.

If you go to a theme restaurant it's not for the food. Hell, any mega chain restaurant really. You get mediocre pre prepped food that requires minimal time and skill to get out to a table. The only decent things might be the drinks and greasy apps. If there is flare or shiat nailed to a wall or a giant corporate logo or phones on the table just enjoy the overpriced drinks and over salty food. And that's just regular crap restaurants. I can't imagine what a full on costumed medieval times restaurant is like.

Medieval Times is actually surprisingly not bad, but mostly because most of the meal is typically a giant rotisserie chicken quarter, and it's really hard to fark up rotisserie chicken.

It's been a while since I've gone, but it's a reasonably fun experience. And the people doing the show absolutely deserve to be in a union, because it's not just a floor show. Controlling horses in an indoor arena surrounded by screaming children and drunk suburban dads can't be easy.

Medieval Times claims the union's imagery "could lead to the mistaken impression" that the union is "somehow endorsed" by the company itself.

Oh no. It *should* be endorsed by the company, you dicks. You should treat labor as your partners in this goofy enterprise, instead of a resource to ruthlessly exploit.

Stop crying about workers having a few rights, give them a limited license to use your IP, and have them out there proudly wearing hats and such with your farking logo on it.

/for $3200/day plus expenses I will provide consulting services in the form of a daily reminder that it is dumb to fark over employees who routinely carry medieval weaponry in the workplace

Entertainers should be able to unionize regardless.  But yes, with Medieval Times 95% of the point is the show.

The company claims the union is "threatening the established goodwill of Medieval Times" by including the chain's name and medieval-themed imagery in its name and logo.

uh nope, you just did that all by yourself.

Caveat. The gimmick restaurants that are Asian (no not Benny Hanna sp?) but like the places with tanks of seafood or windows with dead animals or you get served raw meat you cook at your table. Those are pretty good.

I think those are actually just Asian restaurants.

Well, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese all very different in cuisine, presentation, authenticity and regional variations. Just don't eat gas station sushi.  🍣

How in the hell is Medieval Times still even a thing? Who goes to this? The whole concept sounds like a gag from a movie about a terrible restaurant idea.
