The song was about Madonna getting laid again.  The video was marketed for MTV to be "controversial" as a white chick saves a innocent black man. But had to agonize over it.

When I was in college in the early oughts, there was a campus-wide vote to book the fall concert. Sum 41, Liz Phair, or someone else I cant remember. None great options... Sum 41 won. The campus community board had to back posters to announce and advertise ... someone made a huge, 10 foot tall billboard that said "SUM 41! THEY FARKING SUCK, BUT THEY'RE COMING ANYWAYS ON <DATE>!"

I still giggle everytime I think about it. It's been 21 years :)
