The homeless can get some cheap camping gear to get them through the cold weather, for now is the winter of our discount tent.

Thanks a lot Biden.

Ah the brilliant 'Now' speech, from Richard III.

Now.... something something.

Fantastic.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is an increase in carbon monoxide poisoning this winter as people attempt to use portable heating and cooking gear inside their homes.  Same thing happened in Texas during the big freeze.

Is "it's a damp cold" the corollary to "it's a dry heat?"

In related news, Texans are stocking up on generators and Floridians are buying lifejackets.   And they will still vote for the problem rather than for the solution.

Cheaper to run than a full size oven.

They should be buying torches and pitchforks. This is all on the Tories.

Not only that, but the nutritional value of air is pretty low. Maybe they could add the scent of corn or carrots.

Scratch the sad tag and call up the hero tag.   They could be marching in the streets demanding gas and oil from Russia, calling for the Ukraine to fold but they are not.  They are preparing for what's ahead and taking one for team Ukraine... or more likely against team Russia.
If they make it through this winter unscathed it deals a permanent blow to Russian influence over the area as the will have shown we don't NEED you.

It's also a recognition of who our biggest enemies are. It's people doing stuff like this:

Ministers hope to ban solar projects from most English farms

All their policies appear to come directly from Tufton Street and oil companies.

In the winter I've always set the thermostat to 65 in the evening and wear a patagonia fleece pullover. At night I'll go down to 60 and sleep with a down blanket.

It heats a smaller area and cooks faster. I sometimes buy the part baked bread rolls. Instructions say preheat oven and then bake for 10-12 minutes. My air fryer doesn't need preheating and bakes the rolls in seven minutes and the heating element is half the wattage of my oven. It uses a quarter of the electricity.

Then why are Germany, France, Spain etc all planning for rolling power cuts, restrictions on heating etc etc this winter?

Keeping farmland for food production? Makes sense to me. Haven't Farkers been saying for years that the UK will starve because we can't grow enough food to feed ourselves? And you want productive farmland taken out of use for solar farms when they could go on brownfield sites, on people's roofs, commercial buildings etc?

Solar Farms Produce Power-and Food

And cheap electricity.
