That's one of the lesser charges against MAGA.

If they didn't have double standards, they would have no standards at all.

Hypocrisy should be an automatic disqualifier for holding any position of authority. It shows that a person is far too immature to be any sort of leader.

2022-10-07 3:58:59 PM
I liked during the 2020 election that voting by mail was bad but the military voting absentee was good because it was different because reasons.

To be fair, he might have also voted in person in those elections.

The media needs to ask him "As a candidate who has committed voter fraud in the last 28 of 30 elections you should be in jail now correct?"

Make the magats eat their words and standards till the die from explosions.

Currently it is just the MAGA leadership/politicians/mount pieces.

Someday it will be the rubes who blindly believe them as well

Of hypocrisy weren't already a word, the GOP's existence would necessitate its invention.

subby, subby, subby.  How many times have we been over this.  Things are only ok when Republicans do them.  When democrats do them they are IMMORALANDWRONG!

Okay, it's the GOP, so I will concede the rooms temp is probably closer to the mark then my point. But...

That isn't necessarily contradictory. For instance, I don't personally dig mail-in voting. I vote in person every time. However, I am very much for mail-in voting being an available mechanism.

The mail in voting insanity in Arizona is pretty wild - they've had mail in voting for years and the GOP has worked really hard to get their supporters to use it because the minimal effort boosts their turnout - to the extent they dominate the mail in vote, so much so that in Arizona Trump led the mail in ballot vote by almost 2:1

groppet: I liked during the 2020 election that voting by mail was bad but the military voting absentee was good because it was different because reasons.

In a broken clock twice-a-day moment, Governor Ducey defended the mail-in system and called these lying arseholes out for spreading misinformation.

I'm signed up for vote-by-mail.  If I procrastinate and need to drop it off in-person, there are no extra checks.  The poll watchers just remind me to sign the envelope.  No voter registration cards, no picture ID, no secret handshakes.  I can also drop of ballots for others if they document me as their proxy on the envelope.

Rank hypocrisy is the norm for GOP candidates. He will lose something close to zero votes because of it.

Arizonans are really, really racist.

And generally un/undereducated. So there ya go.

Republicans expect- nay, demand to be lied to.
It's a show of strength from their leaders.

It's because the governor and senate races are getting way more attention, and conservative ads conveniently don't mention the fact that Finchem wants to eliminate mail in voting.

I'd bet tons of people who plan to vote for Finchem (probably by mail) have no idea he's going to get rid of it. All they know is he worships Trump and despises Biden and there you go.

I've voted in person 100% of the time since 2020.

There shouldn't even be polling places.  All voting should be by mail.  It's good enough for taxes, why not voting?

Someone I knew told me that. He would rather believe a lie if it says something bad about Democrats then believe a truth that shows a Democrat is innocent. I have no idea how to deal with cult members that prefer propaganda because it fits the narrative they want then the truth because it shatters their worldview.

I've been voting by mail since 2006. I got my ballot yesterday, filled it out last night (voted against Rubio and DeathSantis) and it went out today. Normally, there is a check box to continue voting by mail. You just check the box. This year, you have to check the box, and fill in your DL # AND SS number. Farking dirty bastards are doing their best to make voting by mail harder.

/Hoping Val Demings sends Rubio out to pasture, but this IS Florida

Both of those statements are true for red areas of any state.  But what pushes Arizona to the right is its high proportion of seniors and Mormons.  In both of those cases, you can have college educated people who are just broken when it comes to politics because of a culture of fear and distrust.
