>war-hungry Zelensky

You don't have to hand it to this guy. He does a good job of getting in ALL the Russian talking points.

2022-10-07 12:43:17 PM
It is in the US national interest to relegate putty's Russia to the dustbin of history. Russia declared war on the US 6 years ago in cooperation with republicans.

Yeah, when this cock described Ukraine as "Zelensky's regime", I stopped reading.

F*ck this so-called journalist OH WAIT - he's not a journalist.

Zelensky is SO war hungry that he just sat around in his own country and waited for Putin to attack.

That's some fine journalism there lou.

For those of you who do not wish to click, he  says that Elon Musk's peace plan where Russia keeps Crimea, Ukraine remains neutral, and the "people" of the contested regions "get to decide" what happens to those territories is basically the right idea and it's silly that this sort of thing isn't the goal of US policy.

Him wanting to take back the all of the regions that Russia (officially) invaded less than a year ago basically makes him stinkier version of Napoleon.

He forced Putin to attack by not saying Ukraine would never join NATO, what kind of monster does that?

/Plus, did you see what Ukraine was wearing?

I will admit that I got a sensible chuckle out of him dismissing Zelensky by calling him a "a pawn of the Davos/NGO globalist class."

/ Now I just need a "Western Imperialism" and a "CIA overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine" and I have a bingo.

I'm just here for the 'Down Vote Gang Bang'...

2022-10-07 1:14:30 PM
The whackjob author asserts this fact:

Our national interest in the Ukrainian theater is not coterminous with Zelensky's absolutist stance; our interest is for de-escalation, detente, and peace.

The current trajectory of events is trending towards a weakened Russia, Putin's demise, a stronger NATO, and a chance for combat testing various weapon systems. All of these are in the US interest.

De-escalation and detente were tried in 2014. Events in 2021 showed those to have failed.

The US is currently using US and other NATO supplied weapons plus Ukrainian blood to assert that wars of conquest are historical artifacts that will not be tolerated in this 21st century. This is not just in the interest of the US, it is in the interest of the entire world.

Gotta give him credit, he has a better vocabulary than most RT assets. But damned if he isn't hitting all their notes.

I bet he was really good at cleaning up Cliff Notes and tacking on words he found in the thesaurus to make it sound weightier.

First sentence:

"We are now more than seven months removed from Vladimir Putin's regrettable incursion into eastern Ukraine and Crimea."

It has been 8 years since he invaded Crimea dumbass.  And, it isn't a regrettable incursion.  It is isn't a colouring book where your green grass crayon slips onto the tree a bit, its a fucking invasion.

Your blog sucks.

2022-10-07 2:10:01 PM
But despite that elapsed time and all the various developments since then, the United States' formal position on the conflict has changed markedly little. That overly simplified and Manichaean position, in short, is one of Ukrainian maximalism: Putin is evil, Volodymyr Zelensky is noble, and-here is the big logical leap-the United States will thus support the Ukrainian effort to retake every square inch of territory in the Donbas and Crimea from its nuclear-armed adversary, seemingly no matter the cost to the U.S. taxpayer.

Yeah, that's not exactly a leap.  Anyways, it's incredibly impressive that he begins his op-ed from such a dumb position but still manages to get dumber from there.  This guy has a future as a fark red-tagged user.

Worse, they realized everybody's head is so far up their ass that they could get away with prosecuting an undeclared war, and thusly keep a lid on most repercussions.

We should keep supporting Zelensky - even if he invades Russia and takes Moscow.

He is in real life what we dream that the US Founding Fathers were.

Should the us get any say in Ukraine's decisions? Nope.

We decided to back a proxy war with Russia. Until Ukraine says they are done we need to continue our support.

Who?

"...a research fellow with the Edmund Burke Foundation."

The what now?

"The Edmund Burke Foundation is a public affairs institute founded in January 2019 with the aim of strengthening the principles of national conservatism in Western and other democratic countries.

The National Conservatism website provides a survey of the latest books, essays, and videos of interest to nationalists and conservatives-as well as liberals who are willing to consider things from a different perspective."

Annnnnnnnnd it all makes sense now.

Exactly what I thought was gonna happen. Either lots of back channel deals to spread thinly disguised Putin propaganda or genuine authoritarians upset that a he-man dictator strongman is getting his ass kicked by farmers lead by a comedian.

Got a lot of dickheads who will publish anything for the right price and a lot of bootlickers who hate to see the little guy win for once getting REAL mad at how the lines on the map are moving.
