Step 1: Base a business on low wage workers in non-critical industry.
Step 2: Loudly support policies that ruin your economy and exclude immigrants from your country.
Step 3: ??
Step 4: Blame lazy people unwilling to work for shiat wages and customers who don't want to spend money.

My Brit friend likes Applebee's because it reminds him of 'Spoons.  Sounds like a quality establishment.

Britains discovered that they can buy beer at the supermarket and keep it cold in their refrigerators at home.

This one was doomed from the start. "Wetherspoon" is the first word in TFA and Subby somehow misspelled it.

For you Americans, Weatherspoons is the TGI Friday's of pubs. It's solid, uninspired, consistent, and full of people who were hungry (or in this case, thirsty) and said "um.. yeah ok. That'll work".

It's like eating at the Subway sandwich shop at the airport. It wasn't the plan, exactly, but there's nothing exactly wrong with it.

Hard to have much sympathy for the guy after the way he treated his staff during Covid lockdown.

Lot of people I know vowed to never go in one of his establishments again after that.
