The mascot of my Alma Mater is a bear.  We're a large enough school that we have alumni all over the country and so when the basketball or football teams come to an area with enough alums they organize a gathering.  They usually look for a bar with a bear theme.  I have pity for whoever in the alumni association has to google "bear bar" in various cities.
