That's the least choice of Asia I'd go to right now.

I'm glad I saw Hong Kong when I did. I don't think it will ever be safe again in China's hands.

I would avoid it. Last thing I'd want is to be in a Chinese controlled city when they decided to cruise their warships over to Taiwan

Oh, let's go visit enslaved Hong Kong! We'll see wonder of a culture actively being crushed out with all the malice of a frat boy stomping a spider in his dorm room! AAAAAND we'll get to give our money to a government that would reduce us to a nutritious slurry to feed to the factory workers, if they could but get away with it! Yay.

/how about no, CCP. FArk you and everything you stand for.

Before buying made in China look for other sellers making the item elsewhere. If you can't find one ask yourself if your really need the item or just want it. I usually do without if I don't absolutely need the item. Saves me a ton of money and I don't pay the CCP to continue supporting Putin's Russia.

Christo's yellow umbrellas are coming back?

/ They were really cool.
// Except of course until they killed a guy.

Nobody finds desperation attractive. Except when it's last call.

You obviously don't play board games.

I visited Hong Kong in 2013, right as China was first beginning to crack down on democracy and human rights there.

I'm glad I saw it when I did. It's an incredible, unique place.
