So she gets a vote of No Confidence because she thought she was doing the right thing by culling the nation's captive mink populations out of fear a covid variant might mutate there and then spread to humans through zoonosis.

Meanwhile, Republicans in America... *gestures broadly everywhere*

New Rising Sun: No-confidence vote over an environmental issue?  Female PM managing to sidestep it? Man, this season of Borgen is just recycling last season's plot lines.

It's not really side-stepping. The point of a no-confidence vote is to force an election. The PM said "I call" and set the election date.

I don't know which way this will go, but the message is "you want an election? I am happy to give you that much rope."

She could, of course, be completely wrong and get crushed. But she's not dodging the issue, she's saying "an election will give me a better position, thank you for giving me one."

Ragin' Asian: Who owns Greenland now?

Technically, Denmark. But only for international matters. Local matters are handled via home rule.
