So they just recap the plots of other people's movies as a business model?

They Live is one of my favorites from John Carpenter, but he made a lot of good movies.

TBH, this one is pretty limited info -- not exactly a lot of (or any?) They Live geek lore to describe the faction. I don't recall the aliens having a name. Probably good that they're letting the younger crowd know such a film exists.

This YouTube channel usually does a good job with other fare that have extensive lore (Warhammer 40K, Star Trek) or some obscure ones with cult followings. The one on the video game Freelancer raised my eyebrow; fond memories of that game that had German, Japanese, U.S. U.K. and Latin American colonists surviving and building new civilizations in a distant part of the galaxy. I greenlighted that one here on Fark.

/They Live would be a universe a video game could make an ideal exploration of, whether a boomer shooter, Deus Ex-lite or XCOM with small shootout action, limited R&D and political map of campaign.
