JJRRutgers: It was a smart move.  He was hedging on the fact the ball would be dropped in the bullpen, and since he was the only one who jumped, he would have had no problem retrieving it.  Risk/Reward.


Except for all the pitchers and catchers and coaches that hang around in the bullpen.

Guy that caught it jumped a couple seats over in front of the guy in light blue. Ball is fair game, but I'd be pissed.

Back during the Mcguire/Sosa run, my friend warned all those around him that any ball hit in this direction would be fair game.
