Nothing outside of the "omg, he hit a lot of homers.. he MUST be juicing!" crowd.

Dude is 6' 7", 282 with an albatross' wingspan. Power tends to come naturally with that frame.

282lbs on a 6'7" frame is ifbb pro weight, which would mean juicing. Just looking at his traps says he's juicing. The guy absolutely has a supranatural amount of muscle on his body that doesn't come from just lifting heavy.

I'd venture to say that anyone that isn't into fitness (specifically weight lifting) and competitive sports simply do not understand how prevalent and mundane PED use is.

Disagree. As evidenced by even a few comments here, many consider this to be THE record (I'm not gonna get into the steroid debate here). Aside from that, Judge is the no doubt AL MVP (there are people who will probably vote for Ohtani, but they'd be wrong) this year and came a horse's hair from the Triple Crown (AVG slipped away from him as he went into a slump since hitting #60 just as Arraez decided to go on a tear (if it were up to me, we'd use OBP instead of AVG, but whaddya gonna do?)).

That's how normal adults used to do great things. Because that was basically normal back then.

The majority of history's "best and brightest" would now be considered "degenerate scumbags".

Not all.

But we traded away greatness no matter their personal lives etc; for hero-worshipping some guy that eats kale, doesn't slam every pig at a bar on a road trip, doesn't abuse alcohol and drugs, and is some sort of good clean family person.

Our heroes used to have an an edge to them.

I wish Judge got busted in a whore-house with a huge smear of coke on his upper-lip. I'd buy his jersey, and I'm a Sox fan.

I'll get flamed for this I'm sure. But as Doug Stanhope once said, "your sins are the only thing interesting about you".

If politicians can run around and act like unhinged crazy bastards, we should allow our sportsball heros to as well. At least they are entertaining us, not destroying our lives for their own personal gain.

At this point in sports/chemistry I believe that everyone is jucing until proven innocent. I really do hate to be this way, but the fact that 99% of players in all pro sports seem to be genetic freaks. The only way to account for this many (in my non educated opinion) is either chemistry, which, boo. Or, that mutants are among us just like the comic books.

The only other time in my life when I remember a league record being covered like this was Pete Rose and his NL consecutive game hit streak. And that was in service of him chasing DiMaggio. Nobody thought Judge was going to catch Bonds.

are there no such things as NFC and AFC records in football?

Look.. I get it. People.. for a variety of reasons.. like things not to count.. or to diminish their importance. That's also one of the reasons why THIS particular record is being hyped up (even if I don't personally agree with that either) as a substitution for the MLB record. It's all pointless and silly. League records are, by definition, lesser to MLB records but they still existand they give us something to talk about. They add enjoyment to the game. People trying to take that away, for whatever reason, are just being grumps for their own agendas, whatever they may be.

well, lemmie clarify.. -season- records, yes.. I absolutely track them by league. I don't think anyone really cares about -career- records by league since the advent of free agency and they're not officially tracked (firms like Elias keeps tabs on them just to give sportscasters something to fill air with).

It was when the two leagues were playing with different rules and there was no interleague play.  Now it is just dumb.  There's one MVP in the NFL, NBA and NHL.  But there will still be two MVPs in baseball, two Cy Young winners, 18 golden glovers, etc.
