True, but you have to understand, Kentuckians are just unable to resist the Alpha male charm of this super-mega chad. All the women want to be with him, all the men want to be him. They feel completely emasculated by this man and have no choice but to follow his natural leadership.

Last week, Paul told LEX 18 that he is worried about political violence taking over civil discourse.
"I think that debates should involve civility and should involve parties that are actually willing to address questions," said Paul.

"And I think that there's been a certain tenor, so far, that really involves more accepting of political violence - that I think worries me and makes me concerned."

Booker is black, right?

He had nothing to gain.  Now, a person with even an ounce of integrity would have done it anyway.  But it's Rand, so that's that.

So when it comes to "political violence", insurrection is good, debate is bad, got it!

Couldn't be assed to answer questions for his constituency (myself included), but he could spend a 4th of July in Moscow to hand deliver an envelope to Putin. A man so radical in his moronic ideals that his old man Ron Paul thinks he's an inhuman monster.

I can count on one hand the number of people I hate more.

The GOP doesn't need an election as they already determine whose votes are counted.

Yup. Rand pulled the angry-black-man excuse to the letter.

Rand Paul is a fuggin spaghetti haired single digit IQ jagoff who made up his own cert board to make himself an eye doctor and hes probably a vatnik piece of crap to boot.  Hope someone pours some Ragu on his head then toss him in the dumpster where he belongs.

To be fair, I think debates are stupid. The questions are stupid, the answers are stupid, the platitudes are stupid, the candidates trying to look intelligent and civilized while at the same time lobbing insults and accusations like a couple of 12-year-olds - the whole thing is stupid. But if you agree to show up, you farking show up. By not showing up you're letting everybody know that you just don't give a fark and, in this case, letting everyone know that you know you're going to win no matter what.

This is democracy choking on a pretzel.

And no one seems to know how to do the Heimlich maneuver.

Republicans have learned that only journalists and Democrat supporters really watch debates.  There is no point to them since they have access journalists acting as a propaganda tool to make sure all the soundbites that help them get aired, and all the bad stuff gets buried and ignored

However, KET says Paul did not respond to their invitation.

What a surprise! A person people from kentucky think is their representative is a f*cking coward.
kentucky people will re-elect him because he represents everything that is part of being a kentuckif*ck. Like being a coward, a liar, a fraud, a traitor, an idiot, etc.

I fully expect kentucky garbage to elect a sack of shiat that represents every single one of them, so they can go back to molesting their children in the their 3rd world, backwater.

Just to be clear he didn't show up to something he never said he was going to, or am i missing something?

Do they not usually schedule them after people agree to participate?  It sounds like the scheduled it then sent an invitation?

Rand Paul didn't even bother to respond to the debate. He never said he'd participate, but he never said he wouldn't, or anything at all really.

Yeah, he'd be kind of stupid to debate. There's only potential downside for him.

Everyone should still call him a coward though.

This right here.  It illustrates the entire problem with our government.

Here we have someone who is pretty well known to be a stupid, dangerous, piece of shiat, Russian asset, who has said and done terrible things to people he is supposed to be helping.

And they re-elect him anyway.  Because for some reason there is no Democrat that is better than that in the eyes of the Republican voter.

I'm sorry, but no amount of explanation will ever make that make sense.

2022-10-05 7:12:12 AM
If Rand Paul beats Charles Booker, defund Kentuckistan. Never give money to ANYONE panhandling for help from their own shiat decisions, and don't watch or purchase items from their semi-pro sports teams. The state will have declared itself as proudly racist and deserved to be treated as such.

"I think that debates should involve civility and should involve parties that are actually willing to address questions," said Paul. "And I think that there's been a certain tenor, so far, that really involves more accepting of political violence - that I think worries me and makes me concerned."

In other words: "Meh, I can win this debate just by suggesting that the black man running against me is violent. Then I can go to an event where I'm getting money. So I'm just gonna go do that. Now buzz off before I add suggestions that you're lazy, poorly educated (or if you're not, I'll go with, "articulate"), or want free handouts somehow. Get it yet, negro? P.S. My party's the one making things violent, and I know that, and most Republican voters know that, and none of us care."

2022-10-05 8:27:01 AM
So I've been hearing some rather alarmingly Koch-ian language about all these debates not happening:

"Neither side has anything to gain, and only sees downsides to having a debate."

It's just so slimy and perfect.  Makes it sound like it was mutual.  Re-frames cowardice and a lack of conviction as guile and acumen.  And justifies ending the practice altogether at any time.

One little step on the road to "Elections are unnecessary.  Everyone already knows how the vote will break down and it's a huge waste of money and time to have all these actual people go punch that information into the system that already knows what they will choose!  It's archaic and outdated."

I wish the only time I had to hear about this hemorrhoid on the asshole of America was when a new neighbor beat the shiat out of him

Brave  Sir Rand ran away.
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared it's ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave  Sir Rand turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Swiftly taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
Bravest of the brave, Sir Rand!
