Ha!  I bet they won't do that again.

Hey, the least stupid headline related to gardening that I've seen on Fark in quite some time.

2022-10-04 7:49:16 PM
Perp:  Sayefundeen Aslam Del Vecchio

With apparent Daesh links.  Man, it's a real come-down when once you made the Middle East tremble, and now you're just bumping off seed gatherers in rural South Africa.

Seeds: serious business.

"...fed to hungry crocodiles..."

As opposed to the kind of crocodiles that eat people just because they're in the crocodile's space. Crocodiles not available for comment.

I'm shocked.  Not even Florida.

Why can't things like this happen to the Property Brothers?

Damn shame this didn't happen to the Spanish and English and settlers and pilgrims ...

I can get some cryptic crosswords clues, but this one has me baked. How many letters is it?

I realize South Africa is absolutely gorgeous but I don't see how anybody who can leave stays there. Like I think South Africa is probably too rough for Batman.

Just from reading the headline, I was pretty sure the article was going to say it happened in Florida.

"They told the crew they were off to harvest rare seeds to replenish the inventory of the Silverhill Seed shop they ran as an online store from Cape Town-and which could serve as the motive as locals in the area apparently complained about the removal of rare seeds for commercial gain."

"On February 15, Sayefundeen Aslam Del Vecchio, 39, and his wife Bibi Fatima Patel, 28, were arrested after cellphones used by the couple were traced to their residence."

Yeah, I highly doubt they were murdered over the removal of rare seeds.

That crocodile was just depressed and stressed.

I don't believe a word of this article. This is the Daily Beast, and there was zero mention of mum who was mortified that her daughter's (who looks like her twin) son brought her anal bead vibrator to school, which was then stolen by a cat with breast implants.

2022-10-04 8:17:11 PM
"It was established on February 13 that the defendants were drawing money from various ATM's which amounted to theft of $42,000 and there was the robbery of their Land Cruiser and of camping equipment," a court was told Tuesday.

Sounds more like plain old robbery was the main motive.

"the frequency bodies are found in the river"
There are so many bodies in your river that two more don't merit further investigation. Remind me to stay out of the rivers in  South Africa.

/What's the frequency, Kenneth?

Also this is creepy AF: "Local fishermen reported that remnants of the sleeping bags, including zippers, were seen in the teeth of crocodiles months after the bodies were retrieved from the dangerous water."

No, no, no. You don't grow garden experts from seed, nor from fertilizer.

Seed disputes happen rarely or the seeds were rare.  Should read articles.

Sounds like they were murdered over their personal property.

South Africa - maybe once on an everything included safari type trip (they tend to have the locals paid off already.)

There's no reason I would ever travel to certain parts of Africa, Asia, the Middle East, or South America. Just as I have no intention of taking a trip to Alabama.

I don't even want to go to taunt the animals.
