Pretty impressive to complete every single one of your passes in your NFL debut.

Now maybe try throwing them all to teammates next time...?

Why wouldn't they? He completed 13 of his 13 passes last week....

Despite the last game, may it be as good if not better than Big Ben's.

He did. Two of them hit his receivers in the hands.

In any case, the team looked very different on offense with him in.

Wait, wait, are you telling me that the CAPTAIN 'C' on Mitch Trubisky's jersey meant absolutely nothing?

Throwing Pickett to the Bills #1 pass defense seems like a poor choice.

Might get a new Jake title this year.

I'd even take the occasional turnover (fault or no) if you can farking score. They win the game if he's playing the whole way IMO.

Kennywood is pretty darn awesome and the only reason to actually go to Pittsburgh.

Bills, Buccaneers, Dolphins, Eagles, with three of the four on the road. That's some real "If he dies, he dies" energy from Tomlin

I would have gone with a 'Pickett's Charge' headline.

Trubisky moved better than end stage Big Ben.  That said, Pickett has the potential to spark the offense.  And looking ahead to Week 6, I'd hope he beats Old Man Tom.

true.  PNC Park is another great reason to go, if you are a fan of the visiting team.  Kennywood has a couple of relics from defunct parks too.  Laughing Sal was imported from Idora Park and the Jack Rabbit came from either Idora or is a replica ... maybe from Conneaut Lake Park.

Yeah, this.

Two of the interceptions hiat the receivers right in the hands and while they were tough catches, he put it right on.  The fact that they were intercepted is not on him.  It bounced off their hands.

The 3rd was a hail mary, so that doesn't get counted either.

The rest he completed.

The offense actually looked like an offense yesterday with him in there.  I look forward to seeing what he can do next.

The downside is our next 5 games are BRUTAL (maybe only semi-brutal if Tua isn't back in 3 weeks, but I suspect he will).  We should've done this earlier instead of pissing away two pretty easy wins.

/I'm the first to admit I thought Trubisky would be decent enough to at least not lose us games, that he would do about as good as (or maybe even slightly better than) broken-down-Ben... but I was wrong.  Very wrong.

Eddie Hazel's E string: Wait, wait, are you telling me that the CAPTAIN 'C' on Mitch Trubisky's jersey meant absolutely nothing?

Here's the hilarious part. Pickett had more autonomy in his debut than Trubisky had. In the post game interviews a linesman was talking to reporters about how Kenny was able to call audibles from the line. Trubisky has openly said he didn't have that authority.

So the rookie has more leeway and independence than the guy Tomlin has been propping up all off season until now.

Haven't been to Kennywood in years. I wonder if it is still a good day trip.
