Okay, I've seen enough.

It's cruel of you, subby, to post this without giving a severe-onion warning.

nah...my lab does this too when ever someone comes home. Its part of the greeting ritual

Golden Retrievers mimic an instinctual behavior that they were bred to do long ago. Golden retrievers were selectively bred to bring downed game birds back to the hunter, and holding toys in their mouth and carrying them is them practicing this behavior.

OK, I've limited exposure to the breed. We have a border collie/Aussie shepard mix and if you show up w/a Kong frisbee... she'll make a beeline for you to get that damn thing. Each night I go out to grill our dinner and I have to spend 10-15 minutes throwing that damn frisbee for her, over and over and over. Even when it was 100+ degrees this summer she didn't tire of running for that thing!

Just you watch.  Tater is destined for greatness...whether it's saving someone from a burning building, or fending off a vicious attacker, or giving those Snausages the fight of their lives...or just being the best boi he knows how to be
