That is how you win elections damn it.  I had 21 spam calls one day last month.  I would have voted for freaking Pete Rose for president if he can make this shiat stop.

Then telecoms that don't follow the rules should just have detected robocalls ALL forwarded to the private and business phones of their executive management and their wives (and mistresses). Were that to happen, the telecoms would fix things in two seconds flat.

The scariest one I almost fell prey to was an insurance scam. It happened to be right at open enrollment for insurance at work and these people kept calling themselves "the help desk" asking to finish enrollment. They would speak in agreeable general terms to finish the enrollment for additional savings I started giving my name and my address, but then it started making no sense that they needed so much. So I stopped providing info and asked them to prove they were with my company insurance and they hung up on me. Thankfully they did before I gave vital info, but freaked me out.

They kept calling for days after saying the calll was interrupted and to finish the enrollment, I kept cussing them out and hung up. Reported them several times too.

Unfortunately, political calls are exempted from the robocall rules (afaik).  Funny how that works isn't it?  Politicians made a little carve out for themselves.

I've been getting daily phishing robocalls on my land line from "JP Morgan Chase" since July. The number on the caller ID isn't a Chase number, and before I blocked it, the recording was always the same except for the 800 number the recording wanted me to call back. That changed every day.

In my state there's accessible and widespread early voting, and the spammers can get updated lists of who has voted. Once everyone in the household has voted, the calls stop pretty quickly.

Though I suppose that bandwidth gets redirected to the late voters.

I hate even putting this out in the universe, but I never get the political calls.   Spectrum/ATT/direct TV call three times a day each.

I keep getting calls and emails from tech recruiters I've never contacted (guessing they got my info when I went available on LinkedIn).  Unsubscribing hasn't helped.  My phone service is through Google FI, so my new tactic has been to flag their calls as spam.
