I'll bet the investigation will show the pilot was getting oral from a passenger at the time of the crash.

Just a couple days after a helicopter flew into another house. What's up with these pilots? Were they high?

/well they were before they crashed, then they got quite low

It's unclear why the plane went down.

My guess would be gravity.

In Minnesota, you should always be prepared for guests to just drop in.

kb7rky: Didn't notice the clouds rolling in, until I couldn't see the VOR.

Were you doing VOR navigation by looking at the VOR transmitter building?

robodog: So I'm amazed at the damage the house suffered, the 172 has a max GVWR of 2,500 pounds and a cruise speed of 180k (and bring that close to the airport likely slower), basically the house got hit by a huayra bc (supercar) at less than top speed. I wouldn't expect that kind of crash to destroy half of an entire story of an ~4k sq foot house.

KDLH 020355Z 08010G19KT 5SM BR OVC002 09/08 A3038 RMK AO2 SLP296 T00940083

That's some pretty crappy conditions.

It's been 20 years since I wrote a parser for weather reports... let's see how much I remember:

KDLH location
020355Z time, in GMT
08010G19KT 10 knot winds gusting to 19 knots at 80 degrees (East?)
5SM 5 mile visibility
BR rain?
OVC002 overcast (at 2 miles?)
09/08 temperature and dew point in celcius (so really saturated, so the rain is probably wrong)
A3038 barometric pressure
RMK remark (so non-required stuff past this point)
AO2 ?? (I think this was where I usually saw 'A0K' when it was supposed to be 'AOK'.  No clue what the 2 is
SLP296 ??
T00940083 ??

Ah, so we're in that timeline. No worries, it'll be reset to kill one of the house occupants soon enough.

On October 2, 1988, troubled teenager Donald "Donnie" Darko sleepwalks outside, led by a mysterious voice. Once outside, he meets a figure in a monstrous rabbit costume who introduces himself as "Frank" and tells Donnie that the world will end in precisely 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes and 12 seconds. Donnie wakes up the next morning on the green of a local golf course and returns home to discover a jet engine has crashed into his bedroom.

A small plane crashed into a Minnesota home Saturday night, killing three people who were on board, officials said.
