How much is the fine for the Prince Albert?

Seems a bit silly, and something that would've been dreamed up after sniffing the Select Reserve.

I'm sure the fine is entirely because of Lewis' nose stud, and not at all because of Mercedes publicly questioning whether Red Bull exceeded the budget cap.

Truthfully, I don't know why he doesn't just take it out. Yes, it's discriminatory against him because he's the only one with a nose piercing, but who bears the responsibility if he's in an accident and is severely injured by the stuff in his face?

When I flew with the Air Force rings were strictly prohibited. The odds of losing a finger or being degloved were very low, yet it happened enough times that they made it a regulation. Same-same here. Why tempt fate just to keep a diamond in your nose? Take it out, put it back in after the race.

The jewelry spat is from several months ago.

Its mostly because he wore it for years without any issue until Mohammed bin Sulayem came in as president and decided he wanted an old rule enforced.  So its been back and forth all season.

I don't even like HAM and I think this is dumb. It's not in the way of anything, and wouldn't be in an emergency.

I am assuming that the purpose of the rule is so that in the event of an accident they don't have to spend time searching the body for jewelry before they can do an MRI.
