(The Advocate)   Poor Ginni - she seems to be left carrying the conversation with Clarence, and maybe that's why he married her. Because, the public record shows, she just can't keep her mouth shut. Is this an appropriate time to say 'oh snap'?   (advocate.com) divider line

If you are married to a Nazi, guess what?

So what?  As we've seen, there's no consequences, especially if hubby is a member of SCROTUS.

Clarence Thomas should have been jettisoned by HR ddd ex cafes ago.  The dude couldn't shut up to his coworkers about his favorite porn.  That he has a career is just mind boggling.

I'd just hope that the J6 committee is asking her something along the lines of, "We know your husband's credentials and experience -- what are yours, aside from being married to him, that qualify you to justify overturning an election?"

And: "What proof do you have that there was any fraud in the 2020 election?"

This is a silly article, "not news, it's Fark".
So many worthwhile topics to report about and you say "Personally, I could care less about what these two people have to say to each other. " and then write three pages about how little you care.

The answer to the 1st for her is "I'm a proud American who doesn't apologize for loving my country, unlike liberal terrorists!!"

The answer to the 2nd is her putting Mike Lindell on speakerphone.

Or - sit down for a minute, and take a deep breath:

She's lying.

Just like she does in all of her interactions when she peddles claims of "proof" of conspiracy theory nonsense, shares baseless claims of fraud and election rigging, and supports sedition and subverting the rule of law for her ideological gain.

What makes anyone think that a person who lies constantly in public suddenly becomes a singular constant point of ethical clarity and discipline in private?

Two things here: 1) nobody believes for a second that they're not in cahoots together, or that they don't talk; 2) she is clearly aware that there is nothing that anyone can or will do about that situation, and has and will continue to exploit the nod-and-a-wink arrangement.

The problem is the lack of accountability within the SCOTUS. They oversee themselves.

Really enjoying the typo, like ddd ex café is maybe a genre of his favorite porn.

But yeah, it is truly insane to think he got a pass on that shiat. Not just not shutting up about, but the repeated "pranks" and related harassments too. Answers the riddle, if you have 36 HR and thirty cents in your pocket, it's proof that useless morans are a dime a dozen.

For what? Having connections?

Show me a series of text messages between her, Stewart Rhodes and the Oaf Keepers who stormed the Capitol and I'm all in.

Maybe if they start charging the people connected to the fake elector scheme in Wisconsin and Michigan, and she is found to be deeply involved in the scheming? -- but, honestly, she seems to be cheerleading more than directing anything.

She's crazy, not cunning, IMO.

They could choose to impose independent ethics oversight on themselves. They could also continue to thumb their noses at legitimate criticism, and force us to neuter them.

Right now it looks like they've opted for option B.

Cache: Khellendros: What makes anyone think that a person who lies constantly in public suddenly becomes a singular constant point of ethical clarity and discipline in private?

You say that like it's a bad thing.  Republicans have different values.

I'm referring to the author's (obviously facetious) attempt to build a pseudo-rational framework where our dear Ginny doesn't talk about politics or cases with her husband.  It's just like all of the deep state conspiracy claims that are made to explain why there are thousands of records and documents demonstrating how guilty Trump is, but he's not "really" a criminal.  Either these 1,977 highly specific conspiracy theories are entirely true and perfectly hidden by powerful interests.... or, he's lying.

I actually have a slightly higher opinion of those that just say "yep, he did ALL of it, and he's a better leader for acting above the law and being a ruthless, irrationally arrogant bastard".  At least they're consistent and not lying to themselves.  They're very clear that power is their route to success, and they just think you're dumb to not agree.

Those that weave the complicated cloth of victimhood, shadowy masters of the bureaucratic underworld, and just telling you to deny what's right in front of your face are far worse.  If these Ginny supporters just said "hell yes she talks to her husband about cases and they likely share similar minds on things, and I'm fine with that", at least they're operating in reality.

Way too partisan. A more appropriate question might be, " How about those Chiefs "....

I mean, I appreciate the writer's premise -- "What do the Thomases talk about if Ginny says they don't talk about [all these important things that the two of them are connected with]?" -- but it was a bit of a slog, only for the resolution to be "I could care less."

Maybe it could have been: "I shouldn't have to care what these swine talk about, but I'm being forced to because they're both in a position to undermine democracy."

If you have been in a long-term relationship, you know there are moments during dinners, car trips, or phone conversations with your long-term partner where lulls in the conversation occur. It is an inevitability.

I farkin' hope so!  Goddamn, I cannot even imagine wanting to just talk and talk and talk.  Some people can do it, can just spew shiat out the whole time they are awake, but fark that!
