I'm surprised they hadn't left some money to their ex SIL. The daughter sounds like a real piece of garbage.

People say you will never believe how many people come out of the woodwork and demand some of a dead person's money, or how rudely they do it. I thought that was a lie until I saw it happen.

She said "you're moving with your auntie and uncle on WHORE ISLAND!"

It's her money.  She gets to do with it however she sees fit and you get absolutely zero say in the matter.

While I take the view that "unconditional love" is Orcah  Winfrey Show bullshiat, which does not and should not exist, my family will mostly put up with my shiatty behavior. At least as long as I don't do it to them. There are probably things done to others like cannibalism or child molestation that might get me written out of a will, but having a side piece certainly wouldn't do it. Of course, we only have the surviving asshole daughter's word that all she did was destroy her marriage. Maybe she destroyed her marriage by sleeping with her sister's husband, and financed the hotel rooms for the assignations with her dad's credit card?

Assuming it's a case where the person still has all their marbles, yep - end of story

/I get that's not a factor here - in general

Well you shouldn't have cheated on your wife with her.

I've got an idea. Claimed that the guy you had an affair with seduced you and Sue him for all the money you would've gotten from your mother-in-law or mom or whatever the fark it was. I get 20%

I think I saw a film on the Internet about that once from the comfort of my bed.

Something tells me her affair isn't the only reason her whole family wants nothing to do with her. She seems to have the "It's everyone else's fault, I've done nothing wrong" attitude.

When she learned her siblings got it all, she is surely that one that let it create a rift between her and the only sibling who had any interest in keeping a relationship. Now she's ruined that one too.

it wasn't because of the affair.  that might have been the straw that broke the camel's back but my guess is there was a lifetime of mom being disappointing in a vast and varied array of the daughter's choices.  cutting her out of the will is just saying in death that which she couldn't bring herself to say in life.

This right here is the exact reason my mom has removed both my siblings from her will and has made it abundantly clear in multiple wills registered with the county and lawyers there is to be zero wiggle room in the interpretation of her wishes.
