Of Hawley, the Missouri senator, Fanone said: "He comes down there, flashes the sign of solidarity, [and] riles up this farking crowd."

Hawley was famously pictured raising a fist to protesters - a picture he has used for fundraising purposes.
Fanone continued: "I would've had more respect for him if he said, 'Charge,' and farking rushed the first farking group of police officers that he could possibly farking find. But he didn't. He ran like a biatch as fast as he farking could to the closest safe room in the farking Capitol building."

No, don't hold back. Tell us what you really think about Sir Robin of Hawley.

Quite a contrast from the usual polite tut-tutting we hear during congressional proceedings and from the media.

Brave Sir Joshy ran away.
("No!")
Bravely ran away away.
("I didn't!")
When danger reared it's ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
("I never!")
Yes, brave Sir Joshy turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
("You're lying!")
Swiftly taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
Bravest of the brave, Sir Joshy!

yeah Lincoln, naturally; but Reagan...

Oh my GOD read the full Rolling Stone piece. I'm lol'ing, and here's a compilation of my faves (quotes are Fanone's, the rest is the author Alex Morris):

-Let it be known that Michael Fanone does not in any way, shape, or form want to visit the U.S. Capitol. "It's so farking lame"...
-"So little of my life has been spent in that building, and - fark that place," he tells me later, after we have spent two days together very much not visiting the U.S. Capitol. "And fark the people inside it too."
-[Fanone and Harry Dunn] decided to pay a little visit to every one of those House Republicans ("I was like, 'I've got nothing better to do today. I'm going to go annoy some people on Capitol Hill'"). Speaking of those visits, fark the "farking fat fark" chief of staff who had the gall to ask to see Dunn's badge that day ("I was like, 'Here's my badge number: One,'" says Fanone, holding up his middle finger.)
-"They [Lincoln and Reagan] did some farking above-average things. And they've got to adorn the wall of this farking weasel biatch named Kevin McCarthy, with his fake farking spray-on tan, whose farking claim to fame, at least in my eyes, is the fact that he amassed a collection of Donald Trump's favorite-flavored Starburst, put them in a Mason jar, and presented them to farking Donald Trump. What the fark, dude?"
-"I said the things that I said for free and farking destroyed my career, made my job untenable, and then tried to make hard lemonade out of lemons."

And that's just the first section.

// the last one is mostly sad, but I think he was making a redneck/hard lemonade joke

Agreed. But having St. Reagan out there gives some of these salvageable imbeciles a stepping stone back to reality.

I've seen enough interviews with Officer Fanone.  I feel like, pre-January 6th, he'd probably be a guy that I wouldn't have minded hanging out with, but that I'd likely have disagreed with on a lot politically.  But because Republicans are f*cking insane about slavish devotion to all things Trump, they've now made a likely moderately conservative law enforcement officer into a sworn enemy.

I have a difficult time taking anything Mr. Fanone says seriously.

Dude was pro-Trump until the Leopards came for *his* face, and has been quite open about how, as an officer, he was *exactly* what widespread protests were railing against, doing things like violating direct orders to roll up at Projects just to see black people scatter so he could feel big and get his adrenaline on.

Like, I'm glad you figured it out Officer, but I have difficulty feeling too bad for ya, you're bleating and whining after your face got eaten by your own.

I like the part where he said history would shiat on Prince's head and he was criticized for being inciteful.  And he answered "if some person named History takes a literal shiat on Pence"s head because of what I said, I'll apologize".

Otherwise, he sounds kind of like an asshole.

He may be worse than that. That spiderweb neck tattoo is apparently of a design unique to an organization of white supremacists who become law enforcement specifically to use their authority to kill PoC. His has two A♣ cards in the spiderweb, which means he had two innocent blacks ("as the Ace of Spades") killed unjustly.

It could well be that he got the tattoo to infiltrate such a group, pretending to be one of them to help bring them to justice, and he never really "qualified" for the tattoo the way the organization requires. I really hope so.
