This still on? I know why bother posting then, but I think I see a nation that's changed a lot over the years the show has been on, and my comments speak more to that. Wife and I were avid fans at first.   I left after Glenn's brutal death at Negan's hands, but I was already getting bored with it because there was no progress nationwide in organizing and beating back the walkers, and they just didn't seem to really follow many rules in terms of how they work. The utter hopelessness, ennui and nihilism every week became depressing, not unlike the TFG administration years.

Any Pie Left: I left after Glenn's brutal death at Negan's hands

What realy got me was the pointlessness of the cliffhanger a couple weeks prior, the dumpster one. I didn't really care that Glenn had died horribly, because that's probably the denouement for most of these people and that's how he ate it in the comics, but to do that and then to have the fake-out season cliffhanger, reveal that it was Abe that died, and then kill Glenn anyway. Like, what's all that about then?

/i may be mis-remembering some of the details and timelines

I was barely paying attention by the time that infamous Negan scene arrived, but once it did I lost interest in the characters and story. Since then I keep I would hear things mentioned that I had no clue on what was going on, and I am all right with that. I am sure that every storyline since has been a rinse and repeat of the last. But now all the news is how the show is finally ending, but in fact it is not. It is just being spin off into separate shows. The story itself is just never going to end until it does suddenly (I am sure some spin off will get canceled before the conclusion of some climax and the 3 people left watching will start a save the show campaign on Reddit).

Meanwhile, this week's House of the Dragon appears to have been written and directed by the late Ingmar Bergman.

The Walking Dead comic was so good, but what they did to Coral and Jesus on the show is a crime... and season 9 was painful to watch. None the less, I will stick it out until the end.

I've assumed for about half a decade at this point that it's only posted on here because there's some paid promotion scheme going on. The threads have mostly been "wait people still watch this?" for like half the time the show's existed.

Soooo, now Negan is part of the "good" guys' crew?

That was our exact jumping off point for almost exactly the same reasons.

Yeah, Rick and Michonne is a limited series since the movie idea apparently never worked out... but Fear is more unwatchable than any show ever made while the others are doomed since even Melissa McBride was like I need a break and bailed on Norman Reedus.

Like many former fans, I ditched when Glenn died but I always thought I'd go back for a marathon viewing once the series ended. Just no interest in that slog any more, even with my crazy marathon Halloween viewing (celebrate Halloween for 3 months, as is tradition). I haven't even heard anything good about the seasons I haven't seen.

Anywho - caught the first season of Chucky and Day of the Dead. Latter was a bit like Z Nation but a bit more serious. Chucky though was surprisingly good and interesting how they brought in elements from essentially each of the movies and hit blend. Jennifer Tilly hamming it up is always nice too.

Love the people that are all "I watched until Glenn died...and that was it for me." See, there are these things called graphic novel to some, cklomic books to others, that The Walking Dead tv show is based on. While some plot points in the show dont follow the novels, a lot do. One major plot point in the novels is Negan playing batter up with Glenn's head that was announced ad nauseam when the show caught up with these plot lines from the novels.

What point was I trying to make? I don't know but pancakes are very good with melted butter and real maple syrup, but nothing smells quite like burnt toast.

Same. Our family was completely in but after Glenn died, the oldest was out.
It's been so long, my youngest has grown up and moved out , but yeah, they've given up also.
The wife and I are basically hate watching it to the end.
I'm not throwing away all those years when there's only 3 episodes left, but count us out for all those spin offs.
Let it die

Not to alarm you but IMDB says there are 6 episodes remaining.

The comic also didn't have Daryll so whatever point you're making is entirely moot. People didn't care about the comic; they cared about the show and used to care about the characters. Kill all the characters people care about, they stop watching.

If the writers had killed Glenn by the dumpsters, as a result of his foolish unwillingness to give up on the loser dude, I would have respected that.

My point is Angela Kang is a terrible show runner.
