Tax payers have bailed this company twice in the past 20 years. I predict bailout #3 will occur soon when they loose all their money. They will forget which bank they put it in.

FWIW: Those "slots" are so hard to get, that many airlines will fly empty planes all over the country, just so they won't lose them over non-usage.

Actually the guy's response that they just f@ed up in accounting for the slots and it made them look ridiculous was kinda refreshing due to lack of BS.

They lost spots after the US Airways merger.  Translated: "we fired the operations guys responsible for managing JFK slots."

Some former US Airways employee is laughing his butt off.  If only the Wall Street Journal would find him.
