I really hope RB violated the budget cap real bad, and their 2021 season is vacated.

The way RB Ferrari'd Verstappen's quali did tickle my schadenfreude, tbh.

I kinda do, too. Now that the season is essentially in garbage time it would be nice to see him extend his streak of winning at least once a year.

I was just tired of seeing him win the championship and acting like the world was against him while running in the best car with the best team.

Also, bring back the turn 10 chicane. That made for good, dare I say it... chicanery.

Looks like we're going to have a watered down race.

All Latest: Looks like we're going to have a watered down race.

As long as it's not a repeat of last year at Spa I'm OK with it. Rain races are unpredictable and can cause crazy results.

My gut is telling me that we're going to have a bit of an entertaining shiatshow. But unlike the Spa fiasco, there will be a show.

Wet race, so far.

A race on a long course with a wet surface... yeah, this thing could be an interesting exercise in clownshoe-wearing cars.

A wet to dry race provides for interesting strategy decisions for Ferrari to fark up

What a joke. Every wet race has been delayed until it was farking dry. F1 is a joke.

They're treating every track like it's a damn oval now, what's going on...

2022-10-02 7:59:08 AM
One hour five minute delay.

2022-10-02 8:00:11 AM
Delayed until 21:05 local time.

It makes sense considering this is a road course.

I bet this time delay is sending RBR over their 2022 cap as we watch.

/shenanigans

How many excessive delays this year? They completely took the interest out of Monaco this year until Ferrari Ferrari'd.

Amd now we have bad filler.

Slicks when it's wet, change to wet tyres when it dries. It's the Ferrari way!

This is the 4th, I think. It's not actively raining. They're literally waiting until they can get the track as dry as possible.

Premier racing series everyone.

Well I might as well nap until closer to the start, it is awful early, but there we are bumping into the NFL kickoff quickly

I have this feeling that if you give Ferrari enough time to plan it out, you'd end up with the tyres from a penny-farthing bicycle on the bloody car.  And they'd still mess it up by having the larger tyres on opposite corners.

I know... Let's drag 20 sets of wet tires around the world and then be afraid to use them.

2022-10-02 8:05:01 AM
It's surprising that F1 doesn't work the race delay into the 2 hour limit.

So not only is it delayed, but they've already said this will be a timed race, because they can't make all the laps in the 2 hour time window.

2022-10-02 8:05:41 AM

Especially where this is already a high down force track. It's not like last race at Monza where there is almost zero wing on the car and teams would be hesitant to add any even in rain.

You know what would dry the track fastest? F1 cars!!!

2022-10-02 8:11:03 AM
They delay the race for an hour, until the track is dry, and they'll get 5 laps in, it'll rain, they'll red flag it until the 2 hours has passed.
