I love her. What's a guy pushin' 50 have to do to repatriate?

2022-10-01 9:35:09 AM
I'd pay to watch a summit with her and the Finnish prime minister.

If it's repatriating... isn't it really a case of other obligations?  (If you have family elsewhere, or other things.)  And then of course it's then just a case of money.

Missing something? Or am I just really uncaffeinated this morning, (also yes).

/would immigrate there once said obligations were sorted and enough money.  (more money needed to get visa).

It's like an automaker having a show that shows off a "concept car".

It's nice when a country's run so well the head of government can do good for the arts in their spare time. Things can be better for the aboriginal community, but that's an inherited sin of colonialism and I'm sure she's better on that than any conservative.

For people who pay attention to shiat and actually care about how governance affects almost every aspect of our lives, yeah. For the average idiot, no, probably not.

As usual, it looks like it depends on which party one asks.

Aboriginals are Australian. I think NZ has done a way better job acknowledging the sins of colonial past and worked to improve things for the Māori than just about any nation has for their native populations. Australia is on the bad end of that spectrum.

Be happy with a "progressive" government that refuses to use it's majority to actually do anything substantial or meaningful?

That's exactly Veloram's point. Most people's treatment of political issues is as superficial, yet vicious, as a diehard sportsball fan's treatment of Bama, or the Yankees, or ManU, etc.

That show is more like Cirque du Soleil than a fashion show. They're art pieces, not clothes to be sold.

It appears to be a Wahaiki (Maori Hand Club), custom made just like the outfit the Prime Minister is wearing.

In other words, a fashion show.
You may be thinking of a Pret-a-Poretere show.

A large portion aren't fabric, they're wood, or metal, or whatever. I saw one once that was a single large piece of porcelain. Most aren't even mobile. The only rule is that you have to be able to fit a human form inside the sculpture.
