Southgate continues to stick with Maguire against all reason. He did a press conference this week which was basically 'I'm picking him for the World Cup so you'd better get behind him so he doesn't suck'.

I really don't understand Southgate. He's by no means a bad manager, but Maguire even struggles to get into the Manc team so how on earth he gets into the national team is a massive mystery.


When he took over the main thing he built that England had been lacking was a sense of team unity, he got the players behaving as a group working together rather than the allegedly very cliquey setup they had before.

I suspect he's now terrified that if he takes certain players out he'll lose all that. (Though from the outside it seems a lot of the team unity is down to Harry Kane not putting up with anyones crap).

Completely missed predicting the Norf Lahndahn derby because I forgot that actual football was back.

Oh, and during the week, the MIGHTY Oxford United FC changed from Thai ownership to Indonesian ownership. Oh and they've released a third kit that doesn't have a shirt sponsor, so it looks like a pretty classy polo shirt:

It's beyond unacceptable. It's like they're not prepared to play and that's on everyone: players, coaches, and Klopp.

US fans are insufferable enough. The last thing they need is an actual farking good team. At least the women are going to get a reality check in the very near future, although I never run into supporters IRL now that I'm not behind a bar.
