How can he sell the rights to anything if he's already been diagnosed?
FTA-
"In March the Die Hard veteran's family shared news he was retiring from acting due to the condition, which is a neuro-cognitive disorder that effects the sufferers ability to speak and understand language. "
His guardian(s) are cashing in.

My understanding is that he totally knows what's going on, it's a complicated diagnosis.
And this is a pretty cool use of the technology.

FTFA: In August 2021, Bruce's twin made his debut by having his face 'grafted' on to understudy Konstantin Solovyov for a commercial for Russian telecoms giant MegaFon.

Bruce Willis is already worth $255 million, he's 67 years old and he has three more movies still to be released. Did he really need to grab a few more coins from Russia on his way to the River Styx?

The implications of this kind of thing are weird. Especially if it's used for child actors.

I can't think of any reason why it's unethical, or immoral. There's nothing actually *wrong* about it. But it feels weird.

If you ignore the clickbait headline and read TFA, it explains that he sold his image rights a year before he was diagnosed. Considering all the other quickie cash grab projects that Willis has done, it's not a big surprise that he signed on for this.

You understand it's not necessarily all or nothing, right?  It's entirely possible he's degenerated too much to act, but (for now) can still communicate to people.

HE himself was desperately appearing in as many movies as possible in the past two years specifically as a cash grab. His OWN recent actions support this probably being his idea.

Movie stars need to be movie stars to be point that they continue to work past their expiration date. This is just taking it to the (creepy) extreme.

If they have permission it's not immoral but it's definitely "weird".

We shot past the creepy extreme awhile back. At least he's a willing participant in the creepiness, unlike demonic zombie Peter Cushing in Rogue One.

Yeah, but the twilight days of Willis' career have largely consisted of him taking big paychecks for brief cameos in straight-to-streaming schlock that just wanted an excuse to slap a recognizable name on the poster. Licensing his image out for Russian cellphone commercials is just more of the same thing.

His recent career is one continuous 2 year long cash grab.  I don't think he even debated it.

Rogue One's Tarkin was a mo-capped CGI creation. He was played by an actor in the same way Andy Serkis played Gollum.

Whether it's deepfake or mo-cap CGI, it's the same result of overlaying someone's likeness onto someone else's movements. The only differences are nitpicky distinctions between the two technologies. I'm not following your point at all.
