That blood red "Flow Meter" would be good stock photo material for tampon commercials.

With their currency reserves half frozen by the West, and 50% of the Russian state's revenue reliant on European energy exports, cutting out the billion dollars a day of petrodollars is going to have a greater effect than any conventional weapons will.

Russia isn't a country, itsn Oil & Gas company run by mafia lord with an inherited nuclear arsenal.

More like weaponizing paywalls... Anyone have a clean link or a TL;DR?

Threadjack.

I was looking for a sturdier belt for my holster and I stumbled across this lovely-named website.

On the reverse, the power of American hegemony has never looked greater.

Russia needs to be kneecapped so they never have superpower status ever again.  Russia is not a country, it's a criminal gang.

A whole bunch of paragraphs that summarize into this: Russia burned their bridges with Europe and now has to look to Asia to sell their natural gas. I signed in with Google to find that out, and it's the only free article they're giving me.

If Russia wants to weaponize energy then I say we give them what they want.  Weapons grade energy.  Give them megatons of atomic fusion energy.  Deliver it to Moscow.

Problem solved.

I've heard described as an organized crime outfit with nuclear weapons.

While it applies to this, it applies to everything in general.
The "West" is too energy hungry.

Sure heat is a tough one to get around, but there are minimal efforts that add up with temperature settings, lighting and insulating.
Quit expecting as much "power" as you want when ever you want it and then biatch about the cost or if it isn't available. Invest in renewables, even if it is just a solar panel hooked to a battery that powers your garage (lights/door/freezer/whatever). No reliable sun? I'll bet you have wind, and between the two...

Will it cost more than just paying the bill? Yes, at first, but it does pay off, and you have something viable in emergencies as well.
Too much trouble? Can't be bothered? Then quit biatching and pay the bill/enjoy your power outages.

Seriously folks, do a little bit to provide for yourself ("power"), and it reduces the international load and reduces the influence that oil/gas countries have. If you don't think that's a good thing... you are an idiot.

Yes, I walk my talk. Subscribe to my news letter to find out how much better I am than you are...

Well, energizing weapons hasn't worked out too well for them.

OK, but we haven't built fusion bombs for a long time. All nukes these days are fission, why don't we just use those?

Yet the costs of Putin wielding gas as a weapon will outweigh whatever benefits he receives in the moment.

Anyone who's ever been around Donny Two Scoops after another of his hamberder binges will know that that's something else the two of them have in common.

Modern nukes use both processes. The first ones were pure fission. Nobody has yet figured out a way of making a pure fusion bomb.

Yes, it would work.
However expect it to backfire
Stuff like this always has unintended consequences. 🤨
