This one is simple: Oh Hell No!

Sorry, I'm all for conservation/renewable energy, but I'm not going to try to cram it down people's throats who don't respect human life/only care about money.
Kinda like lecturing the blind on the color scheme of their wardrobe. Sort of makes you the idiot...

Environmentalists never get a real win. Even if they get some area set aside after years of battle, most of the time they get ignored and blown off, because there is no way realistic way to protect what needs to be protected, and do business at the same time.  Not the way we do business now.

"You did what?  You got 10,000 acres set aside for the monarch butterfly?  We can grow cocaine there!"  BLAM BLAM BLAM

If you add in the number of women that disappear each year Mexico is the deadliest place on earth for anyone really.
The murder rate in the US is about 5 for every 100,000.
In Mexico it's 18.
Looking at Tijuana it's 138.
But overall the crime rate in Mexico is only about 2% higher than the US.
It's much more violent in Mexico though so it gets sensationalized. When you hang 10 people by the neck from an overpass it gets attention. Ok 9, the rope broke on 10.
Google it.

Yep...I gave up years ago.

/which is why we're all screwed

I have a Facebook friend in El Salvador who is a vocal environmental activist.  We met on LinkedIn years ago before we both left the platform.  He has a well-placed friend that can warn him if and when the government comes for him.  I couldn't live like that.
