Will today be the day he does his best Budd Dwyer impression? Stay tuned!

/I don't even think he's there today

Is Jones back in the room yet? Has he been fined/sanctioned/hit with a gavel yet?

Bury this asshole already.

Nope, not watching today. The parents are there to move the Jury. I'm already moved and don't need to cry into a bottle of Vodka tonight.

Dusty?  The only tears Jones will shed will be for himself.

Hadn't done jury duty in decades but if I was a juror there I would get up to run toward the defendant and lunge at his throat trying my best to administer justice for those poor parents.

Yeah, I've seen enough that I wish they could award the death penalty, but unfortunately, this is a civil suit.
Jones is a monster who tormented people at the most difficult time of their lives, all to extract cash from fools.

This, although a small part of me cringes at my emotional cowardice. I'm happy to be outraged at the monstrous antics of Alex Jones, but to feel the pain and suffering of the parents who, more than a decade after the fact, are still waiting for justice? I'm not sure I can do that today, and there's a twinge of shame in that realization for me.

I'm still sticking with the theory that he's not going to pay a dime

I've seen enough, The jury needs to award every penny Jones has, and will have, into perpetuity.

My ass would have been tossed in Voir Dire, I'd have no chance of making it past jury selection.

Lawyer: "Is anyone familiar with my client Alex Jones?"
Me: "That piece of shiat? Is he involved in this?"
Lawyer: "I'd like to dismiss Juror 69 for cause"

They didn't like the facts, compared to their FauxNews.

He won't be back until sometime next week at the earliest.

My wife had to report for jury duty about 3 weeks ago. Wasn't selected for a trial involving a drunk driving fatality because she cried when asked if she knew anyone killed by a drunk driver. Her brother in-law was killed after a wedding reception by a crash with his best friend.  But you're right they will ask a question like that. They even asked what TV shows she likes.

There's no shame in not wanting to feel that pain. I don't want to either. It won't help them either.

Noticeably F.A.T.: He won't be back until sometime next week at the earliest.

Were I on the jury for awarding money, I'd consider his lack of presence to be particularly damning.

A few folks from the TX jury were interviewed and his behavior (towards the trial process in general and towards them in particular) came through loud and clear. He is incapable of helping himself here, and the only thing keeping him from being killed in damages is the laws in TX and CT. Although I have heard that because of how he's being charged in CT the absurdly low caps may not actually apply.

CSB: Best jury selection story from when I first started practicing. In a civil case before voir dire even started the judge announced that he was dismissing one of the prospective jurors. This was unusual in that in this jurisdiction the judges normally don't even ask much of anything during voir dire leaving it to the attorneys. The judge said: "Gentleman, I am excusing juror number X from service. My reason is as follows. Juror X is my wife and in the entire time we have been married she has never listen or followed any of my instructions and I have no reason to believe that she would start now. She is dismissed. If either of you have an objection you can but it on the record." Neither attorney had a word to say.

I guess that extended era of no consequences has inured him to threats. Still, they can take most of his wealth and he'd still have a more comfortable lifestyle than most of us, and there will always be certain other rich folks to put him up, like the aristocratic equivalent of a couch monkey.

You have to be a special kind of stupid asshole in order to believe anything Alex Jones says. Same as it ever was.

I've had it on in the background.  The defense attorney is definitely arguing a Chewbacca defense.

He doesn't have the balls to put a Smith and Wesson 357 to use.

I could see him jumping off a bridge screaming "DONALD CATCH ME", but an active method? Nah.
