As I corrected myself ten minutes ago about this in the last thread, Rosh Hashanah ended at sundown last night.

Eh, the 10 days starting with RH are all pretty much "Rosh Hashanna season*". Except Day 10 - that one's more like an endurance trial (and Day 3 [today!] which is a minor fast). You'd even call last night "motzei Rosh Hashanah" (and Saturday night is "motzei Shabbat", etc).

Also, if the game started at 710pm, TECKNICKLY the holiday didn't end until 727pm-ish (at the earliest, give or take a minute or two) so it was still the game from RH Day 2.

// you'd start hearing my Bubbe singing "deck the halls with dripping honey" (loudly and off-key. ah, Bubbe) as soon as the back-to-school sales started

I'm willing to settle for "First Jewish player to commit three balks during a game that started on Rosh Hashanah."

Honestly, how many three balks during one at bat have there even been?

This would have never happened to Sandy Kofax.
